BEYOND THE FIELDS IS A CELTIC FOLK ROCK BAND FROM THE LAKE CONSTANCE AREA IN SWITZERLAND, FEATURING MUSICIANS FROM VARIOUS COUNTRIES. THE BAND IS KNOWN TO COMBINE BOTH IRISH AND AMERICAN FOLK TRADITIONS WITH ALL KINDS OF OTHER INFLUENCES, MOSTLY ROCK AND PUNK, BUT SOME FUNK AND
REGGAE AS WELL.

THE BAND WAS FIRST PUT TOGETHER IN 1998 BY SWISS SINGER /
SONGWRITER ANDRE BOLLIER. IN 1999 A FIRST 3-TRACK CD WAS RELEASED, FEATURING ORIGINAL SONGS "HOME", "NOTHIN' TO SAY" AND "ANY TIME". BEING A LIVE ACT FIRST AND FOREMOST, BEYOND THE FIELDS DID RECORD SHOWS AND SHARED THE OCCASIONAL UNOFFICIAL LIVE EP WITH FANS AND CONCERT PROMOTERS, BUT THE BAND DIDN'T BOTHER TO RECORD ANYMORE STUDIO MATERIAL FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.

OVER THE YEARS BEYOND THE FIELDS PLAYED COUNTLESS SHOWS WITH DIFFERENT LINE-UPS, FROM INTIMATE ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES WITH A THREE PIECE BAND TO FULL BLOWN ROCK SHOWS WITH SIX PEOPLE, INCLUDING ELECTRIC GUITARS AND ALL.

BEING CONSTANTLY ASKED FOR CDS AT SHOWS, IN THE SPRING OF 2014 THE BAND FINALLY DECIDED TO RECORD A PROPER STUDIO ALBUM. RELEASED IN SEPTEMBER 2014, THE DEBUT ALBUM "THE FALCON LIVES" CONTAINS 11 ORIGINAL SONGS AS WELL AS A TRIBUTE TO THE LATE GREAT aLISTAIR hULETT, FORMER LEAD SINGER OF AUSTRALIAN CELTIC ROCKERS ROARING JACK.

"THE FALCON LIVES" WAS PRODUCED BY DUTCH DRUMMER AND SOUND ENGINEER EDDY SLOOF. MOST OF THE ALBUM WAS RECORDED WITH THE BAND ACTUALLY PLAYING TOGETHER, WITH THE INTENTION OF CAPTURING THE LIVE SOUND AND ENERGY OF THE BAND.

"THE FALCON LIVES" OFFERS MANY LIVE AND FAN FAVOURITES,
ALL OF THEM RECORDED BY FOUNDING MEMBERS ANDRE BOLLIER
(VOCALS AND ACOUSTIC GUITAR), mARCEL BOLLIER (BASS) AND
UWE SCHAEFER (MANDOLIN), AS WELL AS EDDY SLOOF (DRUMS
AND PERCUSSION) AND THE AMAZING EVA WEY (FIDDLE).
